Cutting sensory shapes on the workshop floor with our Designer In Residence!

Today we met with Claire Evans, our PhD Designer in Residence from the University of Huddersfield. Claire has been working on a range of Sensory Shapes for our pod, using a mixture of traditional and digital pattern cutting. Her pieces are fantastic and we're sure the kids are going to love them! Not only are they vibrant in colour, they are stuffed with beads, foam, crunchy material and squeakers, with lots of holes and tunnels to investigate - very inviting for those little hands, eyes and ears! As you can see, I couldn't resist 'dressing up' in some of them...
